2. Delicate washes and low temperatures
- Prefer delicate cycles in the washing machine, avoiding overly aggressive programs.
- Use moderate temperatures (e.g. ≤ 30°C) for more sensitive fabrics, such as wool or delicate blends.
- Avoid prolonged soaking: if necessary, do not exceed 5–10 minutes with cold water and gently stirring.
- When washing colored or appliquéd items, turn them inside out to protect the colors and surfaces.
3. Drying and ironing
- Avoid the dryer for most delicate fabrics: they can shrink, felt, or warp.
- Hang the garments out to air, preferably on a horizontal surface to avoid deformations (especially for wool and knitwear).
- Iron them inside out when possible and at low temperatures. Use a cloth between them if the fabric is delicate or shiny.

- For these garments, dry cleaning is almost always advisable , by going to a professional laundry.
